Tuesday January 28th, 2025 at 7pm the Ramona High Varsity boys basketball team competed against Fallbrook high school. The bulldogs were far in the lead during the first quarter having hopes and spirit high in the gym. Aiden Bestul was shooting hoops, scoring a total of 24 points for the team throughout the game.
After the first half the air grew tense as the scores tied up, spectators were on the edge of their seats as the athletes on both teams raced back and forth trying their best to keep their teams score ahead. For the last quarter the bulldogs and Fallbrook high narrowly kept up with each other even reaching into overtime. The bulldogs lost by 1 point during overtime at the last second, with the final score being 72-73.
Before the game Link crew hosted a tailgate party in Mrs. Mahler's room where freshmen could get nachos before the game. The freshman played in a jenga tournament for a candy bar as a prize. This provided an opportunity for freshmen to socialize, making new friends and feeling like they belong.
The next boys varsity basketball game at home is on Friday February 14th at 7pm. Be sure to be there in order to support our amazing bulldogs!
