This week was filled with lights, cameras, and action. With everything from the coming home night carnival to the homecoming dance. With a theme of the red carpet, on Thursday October 5th, the homecoming carnival and parade was filled with the friends and families of Ramona High School supporting each other. With the staff parking lot filled with rides, food vendors, a petting zoo, and a cheer performance it was a night to remember. Extra curricular groups took donations and fundraised.
The Song team sold amazing baked goods and snacks while the National Honors society sold lemonade. The Agricultural department hosted the petting zoo with adorable cows and goats. The night also featured 5 rides including a miniature train that took a tour of the school and a zero gravity ride. With a DJ blasting music and the smell of the mouth watering Pizza Trolley, the atmosphere was show worthy.
On Saturday October 7th, students got ready in sparkly dresses and their best button ups in preparation for the homecoming dance. For three hours, students danced their hearts out to hits by Pitbull, City Girls, and Taylor Swift under flashing lights. The energy was so high even Marc Boykins, a security guard, had to join in on the fun. Homecoming wasn’t just dancing though, artists drew caricatures of friends and couples as well as a photo booth for friends to pose in. Acai bowls topped with fruit and granola, as well as Kettle Corn were handed out to students. As students entered, they walked down a red carpet with their gala worthy outfits as they met up with friends to celebrate and have an amazing time. Homecoming was truly a night straight out of a movie
